It’s hard to believe that only 4 weeks ago, twenty new friends embarked on a journey to explore Vocal Meditation. Sound flowed easy, playfully and with more and more freedom as the class progressed. We delved into vocal play, improv, toning and chant. There were moments of deep sharing and revelation. We discussed how sound heals — how our voices have the power to balance, soothe and heal our bodies on a mental, physical and cellular level. This was a dynamic group! As I reflect on the class, for me, this group was special because I felt that I was always learning from and with the group. I would introduce a vocal activity or someone would share something, or ask a question and then there were these beautiful exchanges of personal experiences and knowledge. Yesterday was our final class. We celebrated by singing chants shared by several students, and playing a vocal/movement “guess the phrase” game in groups. :) I am so happy our voices found each other through this course and thankful for time shared with each and everyone!
